Texas sunny energy future, could become 'the Silicon Valley of solar power'

The legislature should invest in making Texas the Silicon Valley of solar power”. With Texas officially in its second recession in eight years it is a good idea albeit not a new one. Long before the Obama Administration as well as the Europeans found renewable energy to be the best way to battle the recession, Texas had the policies in place. In 1999, the Texas Legislature created one of the nation’s earliest and most successful renewable energy initiatives and has turned the state into the world’s sixth largest wind power producer.
